Milkweed seed silks, Cattail leaves, Abaca, Steel wire.

Ghost Crab (2019) is a sculpture of a crab I made with handmade plant paper, skinning a soldered wire armature. I made several types of paper combining milkweed seed silks, cattail leaf fibers, and abaca half-stuff, using the distinct textures and colors the various fibers to contrast the top shell and legs from the sides and front claws of the crab.
